We were met in store by Lauren, first she took us upstairs to leave our coats. We saw the staff eating their breakfast, watching TV and playing pool.
We went to the cheese counter and tasted cheddar, smoked and garlic & herb cheese. Then we went to the bakery, we saw a huge mixer, a pancake table, a tower of ovens and a bread slicer. Lauren let us taste ‘tiger’ bread, cheese bread and the best of all doughnuts. At the fish counter we were allowed to hold a fish and a crab – they were slippery, heavy and smelly.
We went behind the shop to see the store rooms and the big freezer – we got to go inside the freezer, it was so cold (-32).
We went back upstairs and tasted lots of different types of fruit – strawberries, blueberry, pineapple, raspberry, raisins.
We had a great day and said a big thank you to Lauren.
