We had some special visitors all the way from Papenburg in Germany last Friday morning. Johannes Pott, Hans Josef-Muller, and Rita Pott enjoyed an amazing performance by the school choir, visited all classes, and were greeted by the wider school community at assembly. Johannes told the children about Isle Ottefulling, her life in Dundalk and Germany, and why she founded the Ottefulling-Kinderstiftung. She had a difficult childhood, so after running a successful salami business for many years, she decided to share her wealth with others. By setting up a foundation to contribute to the schools and organisations that help children, her memory and generosity live on past her death.
Johannes donated 10,000 euro on behalf of the foundation to the school. We are all so grateful for this kind act, and we would like to thank our visitors for a lovely day! Comments are closed.
