For Home Economics we cooked scrambled eggs.
We followed the visual instructions to locate the equipment we needed – jug, bowl, fork, saucepan and wooden spoon. We also went to fridge and selected the ingredients we needed – eggs, milk, bread and spread.
We took turns and carefully cracked the eggs into a jug and bowl then mixed with the fork, added milk and mixed again.
Very carefully students came to the cooker and stirred the egg mix as it turned into scrambled eggs.
As the egg cooled, we made toast, used a knife to spread the butter and then really enjoyed eating our healthy snack of scrambled egg on toast.
Each student helped with the clean up – we loaded the dishwasher, wiped the table and swept the floor.
Instructions were sent home and parents invited to help their young adults to cook scrambled eggs for all the family.
